Italy is an amazingly diverse country, however one region continues to amaze: Südtirol. Endless apple gardens interchanging with vineyards towards the sides of the valley, and nature, breathtaking nature, nature everywhere you look as you rest your eyes on the variations of green.
The location of our cosy family run centre in Südtirol is set on the edge of a charming village and offers stunning views of the gardens and vineyards as well as hills and mountains in the distance. The extensive and spotless spa facilities including a beautiful garden to cool off after 3 types of sauna and the relaxation rooms provide a great place to unwind. The restaurant is a heaven for any eater offering lots of delicious choices. And the valley expanding in all directions is perfect for hikes and nature explorations for any level of experience, a true wilderness in the middle of Europe.
Our Südtirol yoga retreat has a versatile programme with morning and evening sessions featuring both invigorating and restorative yoga, breathing techniques, myofascial release and meditation.

9.00-10.00 Breakfast buffet
10.00-15.00 Free time for spa treatments and massages, alternatively cycling or hiking in the nature
15-17 Afternoon snack
17.30 - 19.00 Evening yoga class led by Elena and assisted by Maria

The region where we are staying, is a rare find for a nature lover. There are many hiking trails that are starting from the valley where our centre is located - including powerful places for meditation and contemplation. On one of the days, we will be taken to a beautiful hiking track by our experienced local guide and get to know the local mountains close up and personal.
The spa at our centre features 3 types of saunas, 2 swimming pools - indoor and outdoor, 2 relaxation rooms, outdoor garden area to cool down after sauna and many lovely treatment rooms for massages.
Our daily meals are vegetarian and include a rich breakfast buffet with many options to choose from and freshly squeezed juices, an afternoon late lunch buffet and a 3-course dinner at a restaurant. The meals offer lots of variety and are fresh, healthy, delicious as well as locally sourced where possible.
The best airports to fly in are Verona or Bergamo. You can either rent a car from the airport and drive or take a bus shuttle. From Verona the bus shuttle trip takes 2 hours and from Bergamo airport the drive takes approximately 2.5 hours.
This yoga retreat is lead by Elena Mironov, the founder of Sparkling Yoga Retreats and assisted by Maria Matkowska.
Elena is a very experienced yoga and meditation teacher, with a strong background in both technical, therapeutic and energetics aspects of yoga and meditation, over 13 years of teaching experience and a background in psychology.
Maria will assist in all sessions with skillful hands-on adjustments. Maria will be contributing with her physiotherapy based hands-on assists, understanding of the human body and the asana practice as well as her compassionate and down-to-the-point one-on-one work that is challenging and fun. Maria aims to help you understand the action of the pose as well as anatomic and energetic alignment and experience a truly transformational yoga practice.

This small group yoga retreat is open to all ages and levels of fitness and experience. During this hatha yoga retreat, you will have an opportunity to experience a variety of approaches to hatha yoga, from elemental vinyasa flow to peaceful hatha with a therapeutic quality. Some of the sessions may include the elements of yin yoga, myofascial release, pranayama and meditation. A part of the programme is yoga nidra (yoga sleep) meditation which has an extremely restful and restorative effect. All sessions will be adapted to the group and modifications of the poses will be offered to cater for all participants and to ensure that everyone is receiving the benefits of the practice and the individualised attention.
This retreat is suitable for all levels of practitioners from beginner to experienced, however it is essential that in the months leading up to the retreat, you have a regular yoga (asana) and meditation practice at least 2x per week to be able to follow the classes and get the most out of the retreat.

Our group is staying at a beautiful family-run spa hotel in Südtirol that has a spacious yoga room as well as a large spa with cosy treatment rooms, 3 types of sauna and relaxation rooms opening into a private garden, a restaurant and an outdoor pool to be enjoyed. The standard of accommodation is extremely comfortable, the spacious rooms feature natural wood decor and quality designer furniture.
