Elena and Karina are offering a rich programme that will help you boost your energy, joy and inner power as you discover 5 Forms of Prana - the vital breath of life and the central concept of yoga practice - in your own body.

We can't wait to share our insights and inspiration with all of you.

 

WHAT IS PURE ENERGY CITY RETREAT?

This is an invitation to dedicate your weekend to your practice, learn new things and enjoy good company.

This September, we are focusing on the fundamental idea in yoga which is PRANA - your energy and animating force that keeps you alive.

Yoga's goal is to keep your PRANA healthy, balanced and flowing.

Prana moves through the body through a network of subtle channels - nadis. When the energy channels are blocked due to our lack of movement in certain areas or lack of awareness, the body may develop an imbalance or a disease. Yoga practice including movement, breathing techniques and meditation are helpful in clearing the energy channels, re-establishing a balanced flow of energy and bringing back your power and glow.

PROGRAMME

27.09.2019 Friday, 19-21

An opening evening session with Elena to prepare for the weekend programme and completely let go of the week. You will focus on breath work, sound/voice and a special selection of movement practices as a way to purify your energy field and mobilise the body. This practice will introduce the power of UDANA - energy of expression. You will express your emotional residue of the week and give your body + mind permission to relax and get ready for your weekend retreat.

28.09.2019 Saturday, 14-18

Understanding SAMANA and VYANA: the two opposing forms of energy within the body that help you centre and expand. The short introduction talk will be followed by a slow paced warming practice in line with Elena's talk. You will experience the benefits of understanding how you are using your energy in your practice, and how to intelligently direct your practice to balance your agni (digestive power) and awaken your power and radiance. The practice is completed with a long yoga nidra guided meditation to leave you grounded and deeply rested.

29.09.2019 Sunday, 9.30-13.30

Understanding PRANA and APANA: the two opposing forces within the body that help you rise and ground. A short introduction talk with Karina is followed by a yoga practice emphasising the energy lines of the body and putting theory into action. Karina will gently take you into the deepest uplifting stretches and restorative slow grounding practices in a supported and empowering way, and will complete the practice with a guided yoga nidra practice to leave you nourished, glowing and at ease.

Location

The whole weekend retreat is taking place in Copenhagen yoga studio called Yoga På Vesterbro. Traveling yogis are responsible for organising their own accommodation and we'll be happy to assist with all the practical things about enjoying Copenhagen while you are here!
